I can see why serious video editors steer clear, it's because they shouldn't have to sit down and read the entire manual just to learn an editor like that.

I'll spare that author the embarrassment and not name that particular software. It reminds me (in horror) back when someone tried to make a music tracker in windows using the Microsoft Grid control, it ended up looking like a spreadsheet, and nobody wanted to use it. You can't treat something that is supposed to handle video AND audio AND metadata AND effects thereon, like it's just a word processor or a programming IDE. It would be great if they simplified it by grouping things together properly. Or reembowel and disembowel and overembowel and underembowel and rinse and repeat, again and again. And if you do not like opinions then just don't read this one because it might make you angry and wish to disembowel me. They are literally all over the place, kinda like my post here. Thought I would drop in to say, the features are many, which is great and all, but it looks to me like they just stuff the features all over the palace, and at the same time try to make it look like MSVC or OFFICE, understandable, since it is the ribbon UI ('Fluent' UI), unfortunately there is nothing fluent in the way they put these features in there. So, it's been quite a few years since VSDC (and this post) have been re-evaluated, so.
